Student leaders were formally recognized for their achievements in San Marino, La Canada, Diamond Bar, Fullerton, Irvine, and Cupertino. Students received certificates, photo ops with government and business leaders and received leadership guidance from mentors.

Students are the future, and at YSI, we are proud to see them make the most of educational resources and opportunities. The United States has a strong relationship with Korea, including Sister Cities, and our students were able to share their cultural heritage with Californians. Our state is very rich in culture, representing people from across the globe, and it is always a pleasure to see students learning more about their personal backgrounds while, at the same time, shining a light on the contributions of Korean Americans in our communities. Congratulations to the student leaders, and we look forward to hearing more about your accomplishments as we progress into the new year.

by Fred Charles
